Tylose (CMC) Powder

Rainbow Dust Tylose or CMC powder is used with sugarpaste for flower and modelling work. The product description explains that it helps produce a faster-drying, harder finish for shaped decorations. Use the directions supplied with your chosen pack; the amount needed should not be assumed to be the same for every paste or project.

Rainbow Dust describes its Tylose or CMC powder as suitable for making edible glue with water. Follow the preparation directions supplied with the product rather than using an assumed mixing ratio. If you prefer a ready-to-use option, the sugarcraft range also includes edible glue pots and an integrated glue brush.

This collection lists Rainbow Dust Tylose or CMC powder in 50g, 80g and 120g packs. Select the size that suits how often you make sugar flowers or models, then check that the chosen pack is available. Refer to its label for use and preparation information before starting your project.
