Baking Ingredients
- 225g Butter
- 225g Caster Sugar
- 1tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1 egg
- 2 tsps. baking powder
- 330g Plain Flour
Decorating Ingredients
- Sparkle Dust Pump Spray – Golden Belle
- Cake Art Paint – Metallic Red

Method
1. Mix together the butter, caster sugar, vanilla extract & egg.
2. Add the flour & baking powder and mix until it forms a dough. Separate a small amount of the dough and colour this with small amounts of Red ProGel. The remainder of the dough, colour with Lime ProGel. Wrap each colour separately in cling film and place into the fridge to chill.
3. Take the green coloured dough out of the fridge first, and roll out onto a dusted work surface (using a light dusting of the flour). Use a circle cutter to cut out each shape and place onto a lined baking tray. Then take out the red coloured dough and roll this out in the same way, but slightly thinner. Using a heart plunger cutter, cut each shape out and then press the plunger down slightly onto the centre of each cookie, revealing the red heart in the centre.
4. Place into a preheated oven for around 15-20 minutes. (Baking time may need to be adjusted depending on the size and thickness of your cookies). Leave these to cool before decorating.
5. Using Metallic Edible Paint, shake the bottle first before pouring a small amount into a pallet tray. Paint the centre red hearts using a fine paint brush, and leave to dry.
