Instructions

Rainbow and Heart Decorations

Equipment:

Three sizes of heart cutters (large) for the golden
decorations

Three sizes of heart cutters (small) for the coloured
decorations

Gold Shimmer Dust

Dusting Brush

Sugar Florist Paste (white)

Small amount royal icing in a piping bag

Small amounts of sugar paste (for the clouds)

Edible Glue

Circle Cutter

Cutting Wheel (or pizza cutter)

Thin board (large)

To Make:

1. Colour approximately 50g of flower paste using each of P/G colours. Leave in a bag to avoid drying out.

2. Place a circle cutter onto a large thin board. Using Pink first, roll into a ball shape, making sure there are no creases, and roll into a sausage shape using a smoother to create a smooth and even length. Place around the circle cutter half way, leaving a short end to the right and a longer length to the left. Keep each side straight. Roll out each of the colours in the same way, Sky Blue, Lime, Yellow, Orange & Red, using glue
to secure each one in place. Trim the ends evenly and leave to firm.

3. Roll out the white flower paste to the same size as the completed rainbow, brush with glue. Place rainbow on top and trim off the excess paste using a cutting wheel. 
Insert two small lengths of wooden skewers into the shorter end of the
rainbow (this end is to be inserted into the cake). Leave at least two days to
fully dry. Secure onto the cake with royal icing.

4. Make up various sizes of large hearts using rolled out flower paste coloured with Cream ProGel and lustre with Gold Shimmer Dust. Leave to dry before securing in place towards the top and bottom of the rainbow with royal icing.

5. To make the clouds, mould three small balls of sugar paste, brush with glue before covering with a rolled-out piece of flower paste. Trim the excess and place onto the cake securing in place with royal icing.

6. Any leftover coloured flower paste can be used to roll and cut out various size small heart shapes to be secured onto the cake using glue.

7. Finally add sparkle bear, using royal icing to secure in place to complete the cake design.
