Blue Ombre Cupcakes
This is what can happen when one tube of Rainbow Dust ProGel to your buttercream/frosting mix. By adding in different amounts of ProGel, you can create lots of beautiful different shades of the same colour - perfect for any party!
Top Tips
1. If you are unsure of how deep you want to make the blue shades, start with a small amount of ProGel, and you can always add more to build up the shades, bearing in mind the colours will deepen slightly over time.
2. Why not try this recipe using a different ProGel colour- there are over 30 to choose from! This recipe works best with darker ProGel colours because you can get a better spectrum of shades.

Prepare your equipment: nine bowls, nine piping bags, nozzle

Decorating Ingredients
400g Buttercream or as much as your recipe makes for the amount of cupcakes you have.
25g Rainbow Dust ProGel Electric Blue (or any of our other 31 colours)
Instructions
Decorating your cupcakes:
Step 1 - Make your buttercream.
Step 2 - Create nine different strengths of blue by squeezing varying amounts of ProGel into each bowl, stirring well until combined.
Step 3 - Snip the end of one of the piping bags and insert the nozzle. We have used the Wilton 1M nozzle.
Step 4 - Spoon one of the icings into the bag, and pipe the icing onto the cupcake.
Step 5 - Repeat step 4 for each colour until every cupcake is covered.
